WHO WE ARE ?
Kalinga Gaurav Foundation (KGF), established in 2016, formally registered as a charitable trust on 29th March 2017, is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of tribal women across the globe through cultural preservation, leadership development, and socio-economic upliftment initiatives. The foundation organizes flagship platforms such as Adi Rani (India’s first tribal cultural pageant), Kalinga Gaurav Awards, Kalinga Sundari, and Aryabhatta Gaurav Samman for excellence in education. For the past 12 years, it has also organized the “I Woman of Substance Award” to recognize achievements and promote confidence, skills, and economic independence among women.

The “Women of Substance Awards 2026” ceremony was held with great pomp and splendour on 30th March 2026 at 6:00 PM at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, beautifully decorated for the grand occasion. The event brought together leading women leaders, professionals, celebrities, and prominent personalities, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. A key highlight was a dynamic panel discussion on the “Contribution of Women towards Viksit Bharat.”
Organised by the Kalinga Gaurav Foundation, the awards honour women achievers from diverse fields for their exceptional contributions to society and nation-building. Each awardee also supports the adoption of an underprivileged girl child in collaboration with the Bittiya Foundation.
Founded in 2016 by Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, the Foundation is known for recognising excellence and promoting cultural heritage through various initiatives. The ceremony also featured a cultural extravaganza and a traditional textile showcase celebrating India’s rich handloom heritage.
